 OWL BE RACING

FADE IN

TRACKING ACROSS: POP

EXT. RACEWAY - DAYLIGHT

The camera fades in and moves across the front driver’s side of the pop. The music starts and the camera moves around its curves.

FADE OUT

FADE IN
TRACKING ACROSS: COBRA

Again the camera fades in and moves around the cobra only giving slight hints to what the car is.

FADE OUT

CUT TO: EXHAUSTS

The driver puts his foot down on the accelerator causing a dust cloud to fly away from the exhaust.

CUT TO: JET

Sat on top of the starting lights is Jet, a young owl settling down under her wing after a long night. When the cars rev for a second time she pulls out a pair of ear defenders, shuts her eyes and puts her wings over her ears.

FULL SHOT

CAMERA PANNING SLOWLY

Both cars begin rolling forwards towards the track; they turn the corner and carry on moving forward to begin the race.

CUT TO:

INT. POP

The POP DRIVER lifts his hand further up the steering wheel and looks left towards his opponent.

The COBRA DRIVER looks at him and then back to the track.

CUT TO:

CLOSE UP: JET

Jet, now getting rather annoyed with the disturbance, turns around and flies off down the track.

ZOOM BACK TO RACE

EYE LEVEL SHOT: INFRONT OF CARS

The noise gets louder as they start their burnouts, smoke pouring out from underneath them and the back end of the POP starts moving.

CUT TO:

SIDE OF COBRA

Smoke still emerging from underneath and from around the tire.

EYE LEVEL SHOT: BEHIND CARS

They roll into pre stage (light comes on) and then alternately into stage (lights come on). The driver’s grips tighten on the steering wheel. Both cars are revving.

The lights come on amber, amber, amber, GREEN and the race begins.

CAMERA STATIONARY:

SPECTATOR POV

They speed down the track leaving dust behind them.

CUT TO:

MEDIUM SHOT – JET

About halfway down they meet Jet. Jet is forced into a tumble and feathers fly off everywhere. She manages to recover and she nudges her ear defenders back into position.

SIDE VIEW

She isn’t going to allow these cars to do this so she speeds off down the track after them (ear defenders fall off). She flies over the finish line just before the cars do, therefore winning. She sticks her foot out in mid air to show herself down as her time goes up on screen Exhausted; she lands on top of the POP and hitches a lift back.

CUT TO:

EXTREME FULL SHOT

The POP (being in the right lane) turns first, then the COBRA.

CUT TO:

CLOSE UP: JET

She blows on her wings, lies back with her wings behind her head and crosses her feet...cocky.
